Artist Press Releases

I love writing up blurbs, bios or press releases for any artist or musician willing to pay. Below are some recent examples.

Hoof Prints Vol. 4

Moose Funk Squad's Hoof Prints Vol. 4 has arrived.
In late 2023, following an exclusive listening party for The Sentinelese Tribe located within an Indian archipelago off the Andaman islands, the green light was given and the final instalment of this groundbreaking, genre defying project can finally be heard.

It is said that Moose Funk Squad share similarity to the remote Sentinelese tribespeople. Both have rejected modern civilisation, fear the trappings of technology and instead choose to live as archaic nomads, communicating in primitive language that professional anthropologists have yet to comprehend.

Volume 4 is produced in full by Bradford based Hashfinger.

After a failed airing of the project for the Sentinelese tribe, in which both vinyl records and turntables were cooked and eaten by inquisitive locals, a shipping vessel instead played the work from a distance.
The response was tears of joy, a joyous festival of ecstatic dance lasting days and the ceremonial execution of ram, and respected elders.

National Geographic Shit

Moose Funk Squad have returned after a brief 5 year hiatus to present National Geographic Shit.

During their time away, the lads have kept busy. DJ Sugai became a crypto millionaire. Fourny P is now one of the world’s leading snake milkers. Mnsr Frites fled to Japan to evade a case. Jester Jacobs became Jizz J, a popular adult film star. And Archetype is now Nick Grimshaw’s personal dog walker. However, after hearing these laid back, switched up and pitched down Brazi beats, they connected once more to produce another chapter in their illustrious rap career.

Over 7 tracks, the Squad get listeners reacquainted with their irreverent and philosophical style, that has proved popular with fans from Dubai to Basingstoke.

Single 2One is out now, with an animated video by comedian Poppy Hillstead that brings their story up to speed.

Jizz J Down Under #4 drops this summer.
